As a quality-conscious manufacturer of steel stamps, embossing and marking tools of all kinds, the Pickardt Signiertechnik company understood early on how to combine tradition and innovation.

In times of advancing globalization, product labeling is becoming more and more important. Being able to trace the origin and production of any article insures an added and necessary layer of quality control.
While he probably did not have the global flow of goods in mind when he founded his company in 1961, Mr. H.W. Picakrdt definitely wanted to preserve the traditions in the manufacturing of steel stamps and embossing tools. Even as far back as 500 years ago, armor smiths used to stamp their maker’s mark in the armor of knights. Thanks to Mr. H.W. Pickardt, stamping and the traditions of stamping, is part of our DNA.
In 1999, Mr. Meister took over the company and relocated it in 2000 to its current premises: Koenigsstrasse in Remscheid. The step of restructuring from a pure contract manufacturer to a systems provider with specially developed products was successful in 2004. This step ensures that our products are always being developed further.
In 2015 C.W.Stolte GmbH & Co. KG, an international wholesaler founded in 1880, joined H.W.Pickardt eK to form the Pickardt Group. C.W.Stolte GmbH & Co. KG is Soon after, in 2019, Pickardt Marking Tools Inc., our subsidiary in the USA, joined the family.
Mr. Meister has always had the dream to bring the exceptional Pickardt quality to the US market, and so Pickardt Marking Tools was born. Due to having warehousing facilities directly in the States, and sourceing from local suppliers, our lead times are extremely short and we are able to have real time contact with our customers. We take pride in the fact that we can manufacture almost any product in the labeling sector - from simple hand stamps to fully automatic rotary indexing machines. One of our core strengths is our in house development and design department. Thanks to this department, we are able to provide customer-specific and individual solutions as well as our standard products.
